Draw 10 boxes in 1 point perspective AND add 10 cut outs - 5 center cut outs and 5 edge/corner cut outs. Use pencil and shade in tops and bottoms of boxes and cut outs.

oil pastel shoe drawings

after drawing blind contour and contour drawings of shoes for days, the advanced art students finally had a chance to start their final drawing from observation. they had to draw their final shoe as big as the 12x18" paper and fill it in with oil pastels in the cool and warm color schemes.


















Chuck Close inspired self-portraits

Using a digital camera I captured the portraits of my art students then we used them to create these Chuck Close inspired self-portraits and completed them with Sharpies.





aboriginal inspired dream paintings

using only the back of a paintbrush, a color pencil and a skewer, my advanced art students created these gorgeous aboriginal inspired paintings with tempera paint.
































name kaleidoscope drawings

Using their first, middle or last names, my regular art students made these colorful kaleidoscopes by repeating their names.
